About the role

Solutions Architect to support US Navy, Marine Corps, and DoD customers within AWS World Wide Public Sector, focusing on cloud architectures, AI/GenAI-enabled solutions, and security across AWS services. Role emphasizes technical engagement, implementation architectures, and sharing best practices within the AWS SA community, with eligibility requiring US citizenship and TS clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects for US Navy/DoD customers.
  • Define implementation architectures and develop deep expertise in AWS technologies and how to construct applications/services on AWS.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on security and other technologies related to customer applications and services.
  • Lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS solution architect community.
  • Collaborate with sales and business development teams to educate and design cloud architectures; deliver POCs in customer environments.
  • Leverage generative AI to solve customer challenges and accelerate delivery and quality.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
  • 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
  • 3+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
  • Experience in executive speaking and presentations (whiteboard, small and large groups)
  • Advisory/Consulting experience with Defense Department customers (preferred)
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy solutions to the cloud (preferred)
  • Experience with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective (preferred)
