About the role

Staff Product Manager for Financial Systems focusing on order-to-cash and procure-to-pay lifecycles, building controls and automation within financial and accounting operations for Xometry.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, define, and prioritize features & product enhancements and communicate their value with metrics to support the business case.
  • Develop deep understanding of finance, procurement and operational personas and end-to-end workflows from customer and internal accounting perspectives.
  • Act as the hub between Engineering, Finance and Accounting, Sales, Order Operations, Partner Experience, Legal, and Tax to ensure successful launches.
  • Own release enablement end to end: communication, documentation, SOPs, training, and coordinating with Marketing for customer/partner awareness.
  • Build controls into product in collaboration with Accounting, Controllership, Tax, and Internal Audit to embed segregation of duties, approval thresholds, audit trail, revenue recognition treatment, and SOX-relevant controls.
  • Apply automation and AI where verifiable to reduce high-volume manual work with measurable, reversible automation gated by human review.
  • Deconstruct complex problems into smaller pieces delivering iterative wins while maintaining outcome focus.
  • Research & auditing: work with AR/AP teams to troubleshoot complex sales orders, purchase orders, and GL postings and determine courses of action.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product, program, or project management experience, and 4+ years in an accounting-related role (bookkeeping, staff accounting, or audit).
  • Strong accounting fundamentals, including accrual concepts, revenue recognition, chart of accounts, reconciliation, month-end close, audit, and SOX controls.
  • Experience with accounting software platforms (Sage Intacct, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) or homegrown subledgers and understanding journal entries across ledgers.
  • Experience designing policy-driven workflows (credit limits, approval routing, tiered sign-off, exception queues, escalation logic).
  • Track record integrating with ERP platforms and third-party solutions (Stripe, Avalara, HighRadius, Zuora, eProcurement providers like Coupa/Ariba).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, ability to distill financial complexity for engineers and executives.
  • Ability to work autonomously with a problem-solving mindset and deep dive into transactional ecosystems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business; or 10+ years in an accounting-related field; advanced degree (MBA, MS, MAcc) and ASC 606 knowledge a plus
