About the role

Senior product manager responsible for Financial Systems at Xometry, focusing on the intersection of order-to-cash and procure-to-pay, with a deep understanding of accounting controls, SOX, and finance workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, define, and prioritize features & product enhancements that matter. Communicate the value to the organization, and develop metrics using data to support the business case.
  • Know the Personas: develop deep understanding of finance, procurement and operational workflows from both customer and internal accounting perspectives.
  • Cross Functional Alignment: act as the hub between Engineering, Finance and Accounting, Sales, Order Operations, Partner Experience, Legal, and Tax to ensure launches land with the field and users are informed.
  • Own Release Enablement End to End: manage communication, documentation, SOPs, training, and coordinate with Marketing to inform customers and partners; drive adoption of deployed features.
  • Build Controls into the Product: collaborate with Accounting, Controllership, Tax, and Internal Audit to embed segregation of duties, approvals, audit trails, revenue recognition, and SOX controls into workflows.
  • Apply automation and AI where verifiable: automate high-volume manual tasks with measurable, reversible automation gated by human review when the cost of silent error is high.
  • Deconstruct Complex Problems: break large problems into smaller pieces delivering iterative wins.
  • Research & Auditing: work with AR/AP teams to troubleshoot complex orders, POs, GL postings and determine courses of action.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product, program, or project management experience
  • 4+ years in an accounting related role (bookkeeping, staff accounting, or audit)
  • Strong accounting fundamentals: accrual concepts, revenue recognition, chart of accounts, reconciliation, month-end close, SOX controls
  • Experience with accounting software platforms (Sage Intacct, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) or homegrown subledgers
  • Experience designing policy-driven workflows (credit limits, approval routing, tiered sign-off, exception queues, escalation logic)
  • Track record integrating with ERP platforms and third-party solutions (Stripe, Avalara, HighRadius, Zuora, Coupa, Ariba)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication; ability to distill financial/operational complexity for engineers and executives
  • Autonomous, problem-solving mindset, deep dive into transactional ecosystems
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/business or 10+ years in accounting field; advanced degree (MBA/MS/MAcc) and ASC 606 a plus
