About the role

Lead architect for embedded partner integrations, embedding Xometry’s AI-native marketplace into enterprise CAD/PLM ecosystems. Responsible for extracting core AI engines and delivering real-time manufacturability and pricing feedback within partner environments.

Responsibilities

  • Software Development and Technical Craft: lead discovery, architectural design, and adoption of flagship embedded partner integration; ensure extensible, scalable systems delivering real-time AI insights at design time.
  • AI Fluency: leverage AI tools to accelerate geometry-processing pipelines; collaborate with Data Science to achieve sub-second IQE latency; define and evangelize AI tooling standards; coach engineers on integrating AI into workflows.
  • Problem Solving and Decision Making: tackle deep technical coupling with enterprise software; manage data governance and secure one-click order placement within enterprise constraints.
  • Scope and Impact: lead cross-team decisions and multi-quarter roadmaps; drive native integration that eliminates design file exports.
  • Collaboration and Communication: act as primary technical POC for partner engineering teams; motivate internal teams toward unified digital thread; mentor engineers through design reviews.
  • Operational Excellence: own reliability and security of integration microservices; ensure robust click-to-buy functionality and comprehensive monitoring/alerting for PLM transactions.

Qualifications

  • 8–12+ years of professional software development experience with a track record of leading complex, multi-quarter initiatives
  • Deep experience in Python (backend services, APIs), React/TypeScript (embedded UIs), and AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Significant experience with system architecture, microservices design, and distributed systems involving high-volume data exchange between enterprise ecosystems
  • Track record of architectural pattern/tailoring for enterprise-grade integrations beyond simple API wrappers
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
