About the role

Staff Software Engineer role focused on architectural evolution of Xometry’s flagship enterprise partnership, re-architecting core application services to operate natively within partner ecosystems, and enabling zero-latency DFM feedback and one-click procurement within enterprise design environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design high-performance solutions that extend beyond a single org and establish organizational standards for embedding Xometry-AI into external PLM environments.
  • Advance architectural framework to be extensible, scalable, and adhere to enterprise SLIs/SLOs.
  • Lead integration of production ML pipelines into the application layer with real-time geometry analysis and mentor engineers on AI tools to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.
  • Solve significant challenges related to data gravity and security; create formal networks between partner and Xometry engineering groups for ring-fenced data governance.
  • Set strategic direction and lead execution of core integration; ensure DFM (Manufacturability) and IQE (Pricing) AI engines create defensible edge for the partnership.
  • Facilitate technical discourse across the organization; guide risk/reward conversations with senior leadership; champion cross-functional development across marketplace and data science teams.
  • Define reliability and security standards for enterprise-grade deployments (partner-hosted or Xometry-hosted) and ensure seamless multi-tenant management.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of professional software development experience, with a history of scaling complex platforms.
  • Expert-level mastery of Python, AWS infrastructure, and modern frontend frameworks (React/NextJS) for complex enterprise apps.
  • Proven experience as a systems architect, shaping technical direction for multiple teams and establishing engineering patterns.
  • Track record of executing 6-12 month strategic initiatives to successful production deployment.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to influence senior leadership and external partners on technical strategy.
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
