About the role

Senior technical leadership role focused on architectural evolution of Xometry’s flagship enterprise partnership, re-architecting core application services to operate natively within a partner's ecosystem, enabling zero-latency DFM feedback and one-click procurement within enterprise design environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design high-performance solutions extending beyond a single org and establish standards for embedding Xometry-AI into external PLM environments.
  • Advance architectural framework to be extensible, scalable, and aligned with enterprise SLIs/SLOs.
  • Lead integration of production ML pipelines into the application layer, optimize model serving and real-time geometry analysis.
  • Mentor engineers on AI tooling to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and reduce toil.
  • Solve data gravity and security challenges, create formal networks for partner and Xometry engineering collaboration, and develop ring-fenced data governance.
  • Set strategic direction and lead execution of core integration, integrating DFM (Manufacturability) and IQE (Pricing) AI engines to create competitive edge.
  • Facilitate cross-organizational technical discourse, document decisions, and guide risk/reward conversations with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Define reliability and security standards for enterprise-grade deployments (partner-hosted or Xometry-hosted) and ensure multi-tenant management.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of professional software development experience, with a history of scaling complex platforms.
  • Expert-level mastery of Python, AWS infrastructure, and modern frontend frameworks (React/NextJS) for complex enterprise apps.
  • Proven experience shaping technical direction across multiple teams and establishing engineering patterns as standards.
  • Track record of securing endorsement for 6-12 month initiatives and delivering them to production.
  • Ability to influence senior leadership and external partners on technical strategy and long-term technology investments.
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
