About the role

Product Engineer responsible for end-to-end ownership of defined surfaces of the Crosby product, spanning data models, backend services, APIs, and user interfaces. Collaborates with product, design, and in-house legal to shape features, set architectural patterns, and scale engineering efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Build end to end: Design and ship features across the stack, from Python services and APIs to the React and TypeScript interfaces on top of them
  • Work on AI workflows: Build and improve the AI systems the product runs on
  • Design the systems: Model complex legal workflows into the data models, services, and APIs the rest of the team builds on
  • Prototype and iterate fast: Work closely with product and our in-house legal team to rapidly prototype and iterate on features
  • Grow the team: Mentor and help recruit world-class engineers

Qualifications

  • 5+ years building production software, with real backend depth and enough frontend fluency to ship a polished interface
  • Experience with Python and TypeScript (stack is not fixed to these, but these are preferred)
  • Systems thinking: comfortable designing schemas, APIs, and services
  • Product sense with instincts for good user experiences
  • Builder mindset to create and scale systems from the ground up
  • Ownership and accountability from ideation through delivery
  • Collaborative and effective communication with product, design, and domain experts
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn and experiment with new technologies
