About the role

Senior strategy role on Notion’s Business Operations team, partnering with Engineering, Product, and Design to tackle high-impact strategic questions, build models, and drive cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Build trusted relationships with cross-functional leaders to define and implement strategy across all Notion products, driving increased value to our users and our business
  • Structure complex, ambiguous strategic problems for the Notion leadership team, defining clear hypotheses and building detailed business cases and quantitative models that will inform and influence our approach
  • Work closely with cross-functional leaders to define and manage key drivers of business performance, identifying areas of opportunity and incorporating them into your work
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of our competitive positioning by using, assessing, and developing insights about peer businesses to inform your recommendations
  • Deeply understand Notion customers and the broader market landscape to uncover insights that inform your recommendations
  • Create scalable solutions that combine a broad vision for what is possible with an understanding of the practical demands that constrain them

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of strategy experience, including 2+ years of experience in management consulting or a related field
  • Excellent quantitative and financial modeling skills, with the attention to detail and quality bar required for decisions that affect products and the business
  • Outstanding executive-level written and verbal communication skills; can operate independently with senior stakeholders and manage relationships, deliverables, and timelines with minimal supervision
  • Genuine enthusiasm for and proficiency with AI tools; we use AI across the board to move faster and work smarter, and you do too
  • Hands-on fluency with modern AI tools such as Notion AI, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar; you actively experiment with new models and workflows and use judgment to apply them responsibly
  • Data self-sufficiency, including working knowledge of SQL and the ability to access, assess, and synthesize relevant data without relying on outside support
  • Comfort working in a high-growth, constantly changing environment with passion and enthusiasm
