About the role
Associate in Norm Ai’s Technology Transactions group focusing on high-impact IP and technology deals, leveraging AI agents to streamline drafting, diligence, and execution in technology and IP transactions, including M&A, private equity, and ECVC contexts.
Responsibilities
- Document Drafting & Review: Leverage AI agents to generate, compare, and revise technology and IP transaction documents.
- Due Diligence: Use AI tools to conduct rapid document reviews, identify key terms in documents, and generate client-facing diligence memos focused on IP and tech diligence.
- Deal Execution: Integrate AI agents into workflow management, signing and closing checklists, and coordination with counterparties.
- Client Advisory: Partner with clients to demonstrate how AI-assisted workflows improve accuracy, transparency, and deal velocity.
- Collaboration with Tech: Work closely with the technology teams to continue to make the deal process even more efficient using AI.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD), or equivalent; admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 4+ years of law firm experience in Technology Transactions and/or IP Transactions, as your primary practice.
- Substantive hands-on record drafting and negotiating technology and IP agreements, with the depth that comes from doing this work at volume.
- Experience supporting the IP and Tech workstreams of M&A and private equity transactions.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills; meticulous attention to detail; and the ability to move matters forward.
- No prior AI experience required.
