About the role

Robinhood’s Corporate Accounting team is growing to keep pace with scale and complexity. The Senior Corporate Accountant analyzes monthly financial fluctuations, records and reconciles transactions, supports audits, researches GAAP, and partners with stakeholders to streamline data flow and automation.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and explain monthly balance sheet and income statement fluctuations and variances.
  • Record and reconcile accrual and prepaid transactions, including preparing and maintaining monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analysis.
  • Assist with compiling internal team requests and external audit requests.
  • Research important accounting issues and recommend best practices and applications in accordance with GAAP.
  • Lead meetings with stakeholders across departments.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business on shared accounting priorities.
  • Work with various departments to streamline data flow and processes.
  • Assist with system automation projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • 3-5 years of total experience, preferably combined in public accounting and industry.
  • Understanding of GAAP standards.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Experience with process improvement and proficiency with spreadsheets.
  • Hands-on experience in the financial close process (preferred).
  • Experience with foreign entity accounting.
