About the role

Content Designer to develop user-centered documentation and learning experiences within the Content Experience team, translating complex technical concepts into clear, engaging content with a focus on user tasks and JTBD.

Responsibilities

  • Design clear, engaging information experiences that help users accomplish tasks efficiently.
  • Write, edit, and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including user guides, conceptual topics, tutorials, release notes, feature documentation, and in-product help.
  • Create and maintain user-facing documentation, conceptual guides, tutorials, release notes, and in-product help.
  • Transform complex technical concepts into content that is easy to understand using text, visuals, diagrams, flowcharts, infographics, and other media.
  • Organize content using sound information architecture principles, ensuring information is modular, searchable, and easy to navigate.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, UX designers, and support teams to understand new features and translate them into customer-focused content.
  • Contribute to content strategy by identifying opportunities to improve discoverability, usability, and consistency across documentation.
  • Assist in developing visual assets such as process diagrams, workflows, illustrations, and learning journeys that complement written technical documentation.
  • Test product features and workflows to validate documentation accuracy and improve the user experience.
  • Edit and review content for clarity, consistency, accessibility, and adherence to style guidelines.
  • Continuously learn new technologies, products, and design approaches to improve how information is communicated.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Information Design, UX, Graphic Design, English, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 0–3 years of experience in technical writing, information design, UX writing, instructional design, or related discipline.
  • Excellent written and visual communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, layout, typography, and information organization.
  • Ability to simplify complex ideas for different audiences.
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and asking thoughtful questions to gather information.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to iterate based on feedback.
  • Experience using documentation tools, content management systems, or design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Paligo, Confluence, or similar.
  • Familiarity with diagrams, flowcharts, wireframes, or other visual communication techniques.
  • Basic understanding of software development or cloud technologies is helpful but not required.
  • Portfolio demonstrating documentation, information design, visual communication, or UX writing projects.
  • Experience creating illustrations, infographics, or instructional graphics.
  • Familiarity with structured authoring or content reuse principles.
  • Experience with accessibility best practices for digital content.
  • Exposure to video creation, interactive learning content, or multimedia storytelling.
