About the role

Senior Software Engineer on the AI team at Standard Bots, owning data ingestion, training/evaluation infrastructure, perception integration, and product surfaces enabling AI capabilities for robot automation.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, scope, and drive high impact technical and user facing projects across the AI team's stack
  • Ship the product surfaces that expose AI capabilities to users — the applications and APIs customers actually touch
  • Mentor and advise other engineers as well as peers on technical and personal advancement
  • Drive technical decision making and implementation through hands-on and technically deep work
  • Ownership of data pipelines, training and evaluation infrastructure, or perception integration depending on strongest experience

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in complex environments
  • AI-adjacent depth in ML Ops, data pipelines, or computer vision (preferred)
  • Growth + Optimism and eagerness to learn new domains
  • Clarity of communication (written and verbal)
  • Impact driven mindset with focus on user value
  • Proactive simplicity mindset (reliability, velocity)
  • Excelling in dynamic, ambitious environments
  • Generalist with breadth extending into at least one AI-adjacent domain
