About the role

Ambitious Product Engineer to help build Base360.ai, an AI-powered operating system for short-term rental operators. You’ll own features end-to-end, work with founders/designers/operators, and focus on AI, automation, and scalable delivery in a remote-first setup.

Responsibilities

  • Understand Customer Problems: Work with property managers and internal teams to identify friction and decide which problems are worth solving.
  • Build Products End-to-End: From idea/prototype through frontend, backend, integrations, testing, and deployment; own the complete experience in production.
  • Create Intuitive User Experiences: Collaborate with designers to make complex operations easy to manage.
  • Create Powerful Automations: Build event-driven workflows to reduce repetitive work (e.g., cleaning after bookings, guest communications, owner statements).
  • Develop AI-Powered Features: Use LLMs and AI agents to automate guest communication, triage maintenance, support pricing decisions, and portfolio management.
  • Connect the Ecosystem: Build reliable APIs and integrations with platforms like Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe, Twilio, OpenAI, Google, etc.
  • Solve Real Operational Problems: Real-time reservations sync, dynamic pricing, smart lock management, automated guest communication, check-in journeys, forecasting, maintenance automation, owner reporting, AI monitoring/alerts.
  • Measure and Improve: Use feedback and usage data to improve features based on adoption and outcomes.
  • Build for Scale:Make technical decisions balancing speed, maintainability, security, and reliability as platform grows.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience building and shipping production software
  • Ability to work across frontend and backend systems
  • Experience with React, TypeScript, Python, FastAPI, or similar technologies
  • Strong understanding of APIs, databases, integrations, and cloud architecture
  • Product mindset and curiosity about why users need a feature
  • Good judgment around usability, scope, and technical trade-offs
  • Ability to turn ambiguous problems into practical solutions
  • Comfort working directly with customers, designers, and founders
  • Ability to work independently and own outcomes
  • Curiosity about AI, automation, and operational efficiency
  • Bias toward shipping, learning, and iterating
