About the role

Director of Engineering based in Tel Aviv leading a multi-team engineering organization across Tel Aviv, Paris, and the US, shaping the site’s roadmap, growing and developing the team, and embedding strong engineering practices and culture.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a team of talented engineers, delivering high-quality, timely work while ensuring team happiness and career development
  • Hire and develop senior talent, engineers and managers, raising the seniority bar on site as we scale
  • Grow and develop a team of engineering managers—coaching them as leaders and building the leadership layer the site needs
  • Partner with product managers and designers to shape the future of the product
  • Work with engineering leaders in Tel Aviv, Europe, and the US to deliver cross-cutting projects across a multi-hub organization
  • Help shape the future of the Tel Aviv site and the broader engineering organization

Qualifications

  • You are a product-building leader with real product sense, comfortable working with product and design to decide what to build
  • Came up through engineering and can earn the trust of senior engineers in fast conversations; adaptable and able to ramp quickly into new technical domains
  • Ability to integrate AI into leadership and engineering practices
  • Experience hiring, growing, and developing engineering teams with long-term growth plans
  • Experience managing managers and leading multi-layer leadership structures
  • Experience operating in multi-geography companies at scale and working across sites and cultures
  • Desire to be the senior engineering leader on the ground in Tel Aviv, setting technical and cultural standards
  • Customer-focused mindset with drive to build products addressing real needs
  • Depth in at least one area among web/product analytics, agentic or developer-experience products, low-level systems and networking, or security engineering
