Senior design leadership role focused on DRUIDS, Datadog’s design system, leading a team of designers and design engineers to define direction, ensure quality, and collaborate with product teams in an engineering-forward, hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team and set its direction
  • Own craft and quality
  • Own the tooling the system runs on
  • Stay close to product design

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in product design, 3+ of them managing
  • Managed a design system team and grown it
  • Read and write front-end code, and can discuss it
  • Designers with opinions and a point of view
  • Clear communicator
  • Feedback improves quality and direction
  • Ability to build relationships with fellow leaders and influence them
  • Developed reports and handled underperforming teammates
  • Desire to work in an engineering-forward company
