About the role

Principal Engineer for Security Architecture at NVIDIA DGX Cloud responsible for architectural ownership of core security domains, embedding with product teams, and delivering secure, paved paths across the DGX Cloud platform.

Responsibilities

  • Own a Security Domain End to End: architectural ownership from design to production for a core DGX Cloud security domain (e.g., tenant/GPU workload isolation, workload identity, infrastructure and network, supply-chain provenance, hardened baselines and patching, or deploy-time policy and admission control).
  • Embed with the Teams Building It: participate in early design, write code, and help land it.
  • Build Paved Roads, Not Gates: engineer secure, easy-to-use paths that teams adopt by default.
  • Engineer Classes of Risk Out of Existence: focus on eliminating root causes and designing systems that prevent recurring issues.
  • Threat Model and Attack the Design: conduct deep-dive threat modeling across substrate, orchestration, and tenancy boundary; iterate on baselines, guardrails, and detections.
  • Carry the Bar into Execution: translate security bar into reference architectures, requirements, and golden paths; surface gaps early and close them.
  • Multi-Functional Collaboration: partner with platform, production engineering, network security, and central security teams to realize secure CI/CD and hardware lifecycle practices.

Qualifications

  • Security and Infrastructure Engineering: 15+ years of experience across software engineering, SRE, infrastructure, and security engineering.
  • Production-Grade Coding: strong software engineering background; able to build and operate production services at scale.
  • Emerging Technology: familiarity with AI-generated code, AI-assisted security analysis, and building for autonomous agents inside systems.
  • Security Architecture in Practice: prior designs that were built and run (e.g., multi-tenant isolation, IAM, policy enforcement, vulnerability management, detection engineering).
  • Threat Modeling and System Design: ability to build threat models for complex distributed systems and close architectural gaps.
  • Distributed Systems and Linux Depth: cloud-native architecture, Kubernetes, and hands-on Linux security (kernel-level primitives such as eBPF, AppArmor, or SELinux).
  • Influence Without Authority: experience landing designs through teams without formal authority.
