About the role

Security-focused architecture leadership role to define and enforce the security design bar for NVIDIA DGX Cloud, spanning hardware root of trust to services and APIs, leading a small team of Principal Engineers, and collaborating with NVIDIA’s central security organization.

Responsibilities

  • Set the DGX Cloud Security Bar: Own the security design standard across DGX Cloud (tenancy, GPU workloads, identity, supply chain, and isolation) and make it concrete. Reference architectures, golden paths, and requirements engineers can actually build against.
  • Hold the Bar by Building: Embed with engineering teams on real work: join the design, learn the code, help ship the thing rather than grade it afterward.
  • Architect the Security Platform: Drive the multi-year architecture for the common security infrastructure the fleet runs on: hardened baselines and patch SLOs, deploy-time policy and admission control, workload identity, supply-chain provenance through signing and attestation, and detection and response tuned to GPU workloads.
  • Engineer Classes of Risk Out of Existence: Build systems to prevent recurrence of vulnerabilities and feed findings back into baselines and detections.
  • Grow the Principal Engineering Bench: Lead a small team of Principal Engineers, set direction, hire, and develop talent.
  • Multi-Functional Collaboration: Serve as DGX Cloud's primary technical connection into NVIDIA's central security organization; partner across platform, production engineering, and network security teams.
  • Communicate Risk Upward: Document gaps and required closures for executives; ensure visibility and ownership of risk.

Qualifications

  • Security Engineering: 20+ years across software engineering, infrastructure, and security with recent depth in securing large-scale distributed or cloud platforms.
  • Architecture at Fleet Scale: Proven record owning security architecture of a large platform end to end (multi-tenant isolation, identity and access, policy enforcement, supply chain, detection).
  • Production-Grade Coding: Hands-on coding experience; has written, shipped, and operated production services at scale and can read unfamiliar codebases to assess security assumptions.
  • Emerging Technology: Ability to form a view on changes under the platform (AI-generated code, AI-assisted security analysis, agents in systems).
  • Threat Modeling: Ability to threat model complex distributed systems and distinguish architectural gaps from bugs.
  • Distributed Systems and Linux Depth: Cloud-native architecture, Kubernetes, Linux security including kernel primitives, security in high-throughput multi-tenant environments.
  • Technical Leadership and Influence: Ability to build consensus with engineering leadership and executives; communicate risk and trade-offs clearly.
  • Leading Senior Engineers: 7+ years leading and growing senior technical talent; experience supervising Principal Engineers.
  • Foundation: Bachelor's in Computer Science/Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience). BS/MS/PhD in CS/EE or related field, or 18+ years practical engineering experience.
