About the role

Software Engineering Manager responsible for leading mobile and backend engineers, guiding product and UX partners, and developing engineers into future technical leads within Google Pay in Singapore.

Responsibilities

  • Manage both mobile engineers and server engineers who work on infrastructure and features. Be responsible for the day to day outcome of the team.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and UX partners to align on a shared goal and guide the team.
  • Help grow software engineers into future technical leads while reinforcing a positive team culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
  • 3 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
  • Experience in mobile app development.
