About the role

Legal Trainee position in Google's regional Legal team (Hamburg) for a 3-month fixed-term period starting July/August/September 2027, focused on legal research, contract drafting/review, and support for Google/YouTube legal challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in a variety of projects such as Google product localization, and agreement drafting and review.
  • Conduct research on a variety of legal topics including intellectual property, consumer regulations, media regulations, advertising, data protection, etc.
  • Respond to various legal requests from users and third-parties in relation to Google services.
  • Assist the Legal team in the preparation and management of court actions.
  • Participate in the creation and maintenance of internal knowledge databases for the Legal team.

Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in compulsory legal training (Station im Rahmen des Referendariats).
  • First legal state exam completion (Erstes Staatsexamen).
  • Ability to communicate in English and German fluently to support client relationship management in this region.
