About the role

Software engineer role focused on Android, Maps Navigation within Google's Geo team. Responsible for designing, building, and maintaining developer infrastructure, aligning teams, and shaping technical strategy, with opportunities to work on AI-powered validation, automation, and debugging tools.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain critical developer infrastructure, including end-to-end test frameworks and core debugging tools.
  • Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
  • Own the team's technical strategy for developer velocity, including the development and maintenance of scalable test infrastructure and automation frameworks.
  • Participate in the integration and development of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered tools to solve complex problems in validation, automation, and debugging.
  • Influence and coach a distributed team of engineers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 5 years of experience with Android application development.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
