About the role

Google Hardware Operations Manager position focused on leading a team of Data Center Technicians, overseeing installation, configuration, maintenance of server hardware and networking components, and ensuring operational efficiency of data center infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a collaborative team environment and effectively communicate business priorities.
  • Work together to identify and resolve problems and create solutions for our global computing and network architecture.
  • Hire, coach and develop a team while achieving strategic business goals and oversee the day-to-day management of teams within data center operations.
  • Demonstrate the ability to implement and drive the safety culture at the site.
  • Manage the implementation of projects within the team and ensure data center-related priorities are consistent with company objectives.
  • Work non-standard hours, including weekends, night shifts, holidays and on shift-based schedules as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in computing infrastructure, networking, operating systems, or hardware.
  • 5 years of experience managing technical, vendor, contract management, or delivery teams.
