About the role

Interaction Designer role within YouTube Creator Support, focusing on translating complex AI capabilities into intuitive user experiences and collaborating across product, engineering, and design teams to support creators at scale with AI initiatives and automated tools.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements, and provide creative, thoughtful solutions.
  • Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, or high fidelity prototypes.
  • Integrate user feedback and business requirements into ongoing product experience updates. Translate complex AI model capabilities into intuitive, user-centric interaction patterns for users.
  • Execute design strategy for assigned workstreams, ensuring consistency across scalable, agentic user experiences.
  • Define feedback mechanisms and "human-in-the-loop" patterns to ensure internal agents maintain control and confidence in high-stakes decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
