About the role

Entry-level front-line leadership role within Amazon Logistics (AMZL) focused on supervising a shift, ensuring safety, productivity, and high-quality customer service. Hands-on management with opportunities to develop people-focused leadership, processes, and collaboration across teams to meet demand.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing
  • Analyze and implement corrective actions to ensure quality and productivity across all shifts
  • Support and lead a team and handle administrative work while building a strong team culture
  • Analyze performance and suggest process improvements to optimize work and customer service
  • Promote best practices and continuous process improvements in health, safety, and productivity
  • Collaborate with other managers to standardize shift processes
  • Work shifts at an operational site, maintaining safety standards and monitoring process efficiency
  • Prioritize routine team management and daily operational tasks, along with escalations, process improvements, and contingency planning
  • Coordinate with colleagues in other teams and external partners to meet customer demands and targets
  • Analyze data and performance metrics with leaders and discuss operational impacts of technical improvements with engineers

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Work a rotating, flexible schedule, including nights, overnights, weekends and holidays. Able to work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
  • Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Experience using strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • 1+ years of leadership experience in a retail, distribution or similar environment
  • 1+ years of experience directly managing others
