About the role

Software Development Engineer (SDE) to deliver Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS) and Fargate, focusing on container orchestration, distributed systems, and operating a public AWS service. Role includes design, development, deployment, on-call operations, and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

  • Create a first-class experience for our customers by keeping their needs at the center of your work.
  • Solve difficult problems with elegant and practical code.
  • Design, build, deploy, and own scalable and robust systems, taking well scoped requirements through to delivery.
  • Help operate a public AWS service, including participating in on-call and improving operational health.
  • Use data to guide your decisions and validate your assumptions.
  • Contribute to architecture and technology choices for your features, and grow into a broader technical voice over time.
  • Develop project plans and commitments, and deliver consistently against them.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
