About the role

Build scalable backend services for onboarding new Amazon Prime members, delivering personalized experiences across web, mobile, and email at high scale with low latency.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate scalable, low-latency backend services that power personalized member experiences
  • Improve the performance, reliability, and cost efficiency of systems that handle very high request volumes
  • Partner with product, design, and science to launch and run experiments across multiple countries
  • Write well-tested, maintainable code and raise the engineering bar through design and code reviews
  • Own the operational health of your services and continuously improve it
  • Take ambiguous problems and turn them into simple, durable solutions

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
