About the role

Senior Software Engineer to participate in all phases of software development for Amazon Leo, focusing on secure embedded software for satellite avionics, including device drivers, Linux kernel modules, and porting software to embedded systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop embedded software in C++ and Rust
  • Write software to interact with microcontrollers
  • Design and develop secure software
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and architecture

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
