About the role

NOC-based transportation operations specialist focused on inbound and outbound freight coordination, issue resolution, data analysis, and process improvements to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction within Amazon's transportation network.

Responsibilities

  • Communication with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (Retail, Finance, Software Support, Fulfillment Centers)
  • Ability to pull data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL and/or other data management systems) and to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis
  • Develop and/or understand performance metrics to assist with driving business results
  • Ability to scope out business and functional requirements for the Amazon technology teams who create and enhance the software systems and tools used by NOC
  • Understand the business impact of trends and make data-driven decisions
  • Escalate problems or variances to relevant owners and ensure resolutions are delivered
  • Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs, while measuring activities
  • Create narratives of weekly findings and variances to goals and present in review forums
  • Support both Inbound (Vendor/Carrier/FC relationship, on-time pickup/delivery) and Outbound (FC/Carrier relationship, ensuring trucks depart on time) processes

Qualifications

  • Experience in written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
