About the role

WHS Manager responsible for leading Amazon's Global WHS Program implementation at the site, combining hands-on safety management with strategic initiatives to protect associates, drive safety culture, and support operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead our Global WHS Program implementation at the site and act as the safety champion.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, analyze safety data, and implement practical solutions to protect associates while supporting productivity.
  • Lead safety compliance efforts, conduct site audits, and analyze incident trends to target improvements.
  • Manage the first aid program and emergency response capabilities.
  • Engage with Operations leadership to integrate safety into daily operations and drive safety initiatives.
  • Develop leadership plans, communicate expectations, and drive initiatives to create a safe work environment.
  • Measure performance against WHS policies, analyze metrics, and address non-compliance issues.
  • Oversee recordkeeping, WHS training programs, and workplace organization.
  • Build relationships and influence positive change to shape safety culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
  • 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations
  • 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management, or 2+ years of Amazon Safety (blue badge/FTE) experience
