About the role

Senior financial analyst role within AWS Finance focused on S3/Glacier costs, controllership, and financial planning & analysis for the storage infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Driving financial planning & analysis; building complex financial models and analytical tools to support review of S3's costs and capacity
  • Developing short and long range financial / operational forecasts of S3's infrastructure footprint
  • Develop, track, and report relevant KPIs to shed financial and operational insights into the CapEx and OpEx drivers, and influence business decisions using data and communication skills
  • Driving ad hoc financial analyses and projects

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role experience)
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
  • 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
