About the role

Role focusing on optimizing distributed training performance on AWS Trainium using AWS Neuron across PyTorch and JAX, with hardware-software co-design across the stack, leading engineering efforts, mentoring a team, and contributing upstream to open-source frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to optimize distributed training performance on Trainium, focusing on throughput, model FLOPs utilization, and time to convergence across the Neuron stack.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
  • Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics or natural language processing

Skills
