About the role

Systems Development Engineer focusing on supporting Leo shared services and design-manufacturing domains (PCB/ASIC) with managed software services, lab environments, and both cloud and physical infrastructure for satellite R&D; includes OS administration (RHEL and Windows), server deployments, change control, automation, and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Manage RHEL supporting engineering tools
  • Manage Windows supporting engineering tools
  • Manage VMWare VSphere and guests
  • Maintain uptime for critical design and manufacturing applications
  • Implement and manage cloud infrastructure
  • Handle physical server deployments and maintenance
  • Create and enforce change management procedures
  • Work directly with engineering teams to understand requirements
  • Plan and execute system improvements
  • Document technical processes and configurations
  • Develop Automation
  • Disaster Recover and Business Continuity Planning
  • Design and implement technical solutions
  • Service monitoring

Qualifications

  • Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
  • Experience with Linux/Unix
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
