About the role

Town is hiring to build and manage the community function, including events calendar, peer-learning engine, online community growth, and feedback loop to Product and Support. The role focuses on end-to-end community strategy, events, and activation to turn community output into GTM fuel.

Responsibilities

  • Own Town's community strategy end to end: which audiences we serve, which programs we run, and what each one is supposed to move.
  • Build the peer-learning engine: identify top Town builders, capture what they've built, package for others, and distribute.
  • Grow our online community: set the tone, seed questions, ensure answers appear, foster return visits.
  • Create our events calendar: in-office show-and-tells, builder nights, workshops, dinners, and presence at AI events; translate community output into GTM collateral for Marketing, Sales, Support.
  • Close the loop with Product and Support: relay feedback and requests to the right teams; ensure learnings reach action.
  • Define success metrics: instrument touchpoints, activation, retention, and adoption; bring data to the table.
  • Partner with Content Marketing and PMM on launches: community involvement before, during, and after every ship.

Qualifications

  • Have experience in community, customer marketing, or event marketing and have run programs themselves, not just managed others’ programs.
  • Built something from nothing (a program, a community, a conference track) with measurable impact.
  • Are an AI power user with real workflows and can improve user setups on the spot.
  • Write well and quickly in a voice readers want to engage with.
  • Ran events end-to-end (venue, catering, run-of-show, day-of execution) and enjoy doing it.
  • Think in metrics and are comfortable owning a number.
  • Are in SF and want to be in the office five days a week.
  • Are proactive in finding work and closing the loop without being chased.
