About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop methods to contribute to the quality of the product pipeline under engineering mentor guidance
  • Engage in real-world projects alongside the product team
  • Work on challenges across software engineering, programming languages, and AI, including eliciting requirements, generating full stack code, generating tests, repairing faults, generating verifiable code, deploying securely, and maintaining/revising over time

Qualifications

  • Completed or nearing completion of a master's degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Preferred: nearing completion of a PhD-level degree in area of research that analyses or synthesises code, or AI for code
  • Excellent coding skills in strongly-typed languages (C++, C#, Java, Rust, Golang, Haskell, Ocaml, TypeScript, typed Python or equivalent)
  • Strong interest in AI and current agentic tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or equivalent); experience writing an agent is a plus
  • Preferred: solid grasp of LLM fundamentals (prompting, tool use, evaluation, failure modes)
  • Keen to work at the cutting edge of AI-native software development; evidence via research/personal project/published work is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
