  • Communicate technical requirements and design constraints clearly to partner manufacturers to ensure accurate quoting
  • Review partner technical proposals and manufacturing approaches to validate capability and manufacturability considerations
  • Evaluate and compare partner bids on cost, capability, capacity, lead time, quality, and strategic fit
  • Analyze bids to identify pricing outliers and challenge quotes with alternatives
  • Negotiate pricing and terms to optimize margins while maintaining competitiveness
  • Award bids based on total value analysis to maximize profitability and strategic benefit
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners as a trusted technical resource and negotiator
  • Track and maintain bid data (bid count, pricing, win rates, lead times)
  • Leverage analytics dashboards to monitor performance trends and market opportunities
  • Generate insights from bid analysis to inform partner strategy and pricing

  • Identify bottlenecks and advocate process improvements to accelerate RFQ cycles and improve bid quality
  • Document and standardize best practices, quoting approaches, and negotiation strategies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, manufacturing operations, supply chain, or procurement
  • Strong technical foundation in CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication (tolerances, materials, equipment capabilities, cost drivers)
  • Proficiency reading and interpreting engineering drawings, CAD models, and step files; GD&T knowledge required
  • Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) or CAM software is a plus
  • DFM experience is a plus but not required
