About the role

Director of Expert Supply Growth responsible for building and leading the engine that brings high-quality experts into Snorkel’s AI Expert Network. Hybrid role based in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY with in-office presence 3 days/week.

Responsibilities

  • Define the long-term expert acquisition strategy. Determine how Snorkel will attract, develop, and retain expert capabilities; build a differentiated base of human intellectual capital through sourcing channels, communities, and partnerships; focus investments to strengthen the network.
  • Own the end-to-end supply growth strategy. Translate demand into acquisition targets by skill, domain, geography, worker type, and timing; set operating plan and ensure activation and first accepted work.
  • Lead the channel portfolio. Manage paid acquisition, recruiting, referrals and community, organic growth, partnerships with industry and higher-education, BPO and staffing partners; design and own the expert referral program with incentives and metrics; adjust investments based on demand.
  • Own efficient growth across channels. Set and manage CAC targets; improve targeting, conversion, partner economics, and efficiency; build attribution and determine when to scale or stop channels.
  • Develop industry and higher-education partnerships. Build relationships with associations, colleges, graduate programs, research labs, and institutions; turn one-off relationships into repeatable programs.
  • Expand and manage the BPO and vendor portfolio. Source and onboard partners; shape commercial models; set expectations for capacity, quality, and turnaround; manage risk across geography and concentration.
  • Own the growth scorecard. Define metrics, data, targets, and decisions; track cost per activated expert, speed to activation, domain match, quality, retention, availability, and channel ROI.
  • Improve the full acquisition funnel. Collaborate across functions to remove friction from sourcing through qualification, onboarding, activation, and first accepted work.
  • Diagnose performance and turn insight into action. Identify gaps, assess opportunities, size impact, and balance speed, quality, cost, and risk; measure impact and iterate.
  • Build durable systems and a strong team. Create playbooks, cadence, forecasting, partner-management routines, and hire and lead growth teams across domains and geographies.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in growth, marketplace or talent supply, workforce acquisition, partnerships, recruiting, or operations, including 5+ years leading teams.
  • Experience scaling the supply side of a marketplace, talent network, staffing platform, professional-services business, or other model dependent on attracting scarce, specialized talent.
  • Proven multi-channel growth leadership with ownership of multiple levers across paid acquisition, partnerships, referrals, community, and vendors.
  • Strong analytical and experimental judgment with ability to define funnels, attribution, channel economics, and investment decisions under uncertainty.
  • Experience building and managing strategic partnerships with associations, universities, research institutions, staffing firms, BPOs, or similar.
  • General-management instincts linking acquisition decisions to revenue, quality, speed, cost, and risk.
  • Excellent cross-functional and executive communication; ability to align senior leaders and create accountability across teams.
  • High ownership in ambiguous, fast-moving environments; capable of operating hands-on and building structure from zero.
  • AI-forward mindset; ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate research, analysis, experimentation, content, and workflows.
