About the role

SAP master data (MM/PP) specialist within the Enterprise Data Management Team focusing on governance, integrity, and optimization of supply chain and production data objects in a semiconductor context.

Responsibilities

  • Enterprise Data Architecture: Lead the functional design and governance for critical supply chain data domains, including Material Master, BOM, ECN (Engineering Change Management), Routing, Production Versions (PV).
  • PLM Integration: Manage end-to-end integration between SAP PLM and core ERP (MM/PP).
  • Develop deep understanding of end-to-end chip supply chain, PLM system input/output/yield linkage, ECC material master setup and extension, and ontology/knowledge graph foundation for EDM AI initiatives.
  • Process Automation: Design and implement custom workflows and automated solutions for the Part Creation lifecycle to reduce manual entry and speed time-to-market.
  • Integrated Supply & Demand Planning: Align S&D Planning requirements with master data support for SAP IBP, APO, and Anaplan.
  • Custom Object Support: Define and support custom SAP objects for complex manufacturing/supply chain requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to translate complex semiconductor requirements into scalable, governed data solutions.
  • Support master data setup and enhancement during business process changes and IT transformation; contribute to data migration/validation for ECC-to-S/4HANA transitions; act as cross-functional liaison.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of SAP experience with Core focus on Production Planning, Manufacturing, Material Management, and PLM integration
  • Deep understanding of governance of complex high-volume master data objects (Materials, BOMs, Routings, PV, ECNs)
  • At least 1 SAP S/4HANA implementation in Materials Management, Production Planning, and Manufacturing
  • Familiarity with SAP Fiori/UI5 interfaces used in S/4HANA for master data maintenance apps
  • Proficiency in writing functional specifications and collaborating with ABAP developers
  • Hands-on experience developing custom enhancements (User Exits, BAdIs) and workflow logic for data validation/creation
  • Experience integrating SAP with third-party systems via IDocs, BAPIs, and Interfaces
  • (Optional/Good-to-have) debugging skills to trace issues with technical teams
  • Experience with data governance tools like SAP MDG/Informatica (Preferred)
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/IS/Data Engineering/Industrial Engineering or equivalent
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled productivity and data platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Claude) to improve automation and data quality
