About the role

Security Engineer role focusing on designing security architectures, validation frameworks, and automated security controls to prevent threats and data exfiltration within Google's gTech ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Design the security architecture and validation frameworks (e.g., prompt injection resilience, data flow constraints) for agentic platforms.
  • Design technical standards and automated workflows for vulnerability auto-mitigation to ensure alignment with global SLO timelines.
  • Architect automated access control systems, integration templates, and data flow constraints to proactively prevent access abuse and data exfiltration.
  • Align all technical architectures with central security design standards, serving as the primary design conduit to central infrastructure.
  • Create precise, robust technical designs to the Operational Engineering (Build) team for software fulfilment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in security engineering, threat modeling, systems design, and security architecture.
  • 3 years of experience with coding (e.g., C++, Java, Go, or Python).
  • Experience designing security controls for teams with operational systems and cloud infrastructure deployment.
  • Experience developing, deploying and monitoring security policies in partnership with centralized security functions.
