About the role

Role responsible for operating, monitoring, maintaining, and repairing data center mechanical systems and facilities, with focus on pumps, HVAC, piping, and control systems; supports startup/commissioning of new equipment and responds to abnormal conditions to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair various data center systems such as piping and mechanical system components.
  • Provide daily assistance to technicians by reading blueprints/schematics/sequence of operations, conducting system tours, and assessing working order.
  • Manage the uptime and maintenance of water pumps and treatment systems, HVAC and control and monitoring systems.
  • Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in data center facilities systems and equipment.
  • Support startup, commissioning, and integration of new mechanical equipment and systems into facilities infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of Mechanical/HVAC experience in an industrial or commercial environment.
  • Ability to participate in material handling tasks such as lifting, carrying or moving up to 50 lbs of equipment; required use of OSHA standard safety equipment (PPE, ladders, etc.).
  • Ability to work non-standard hours and differing work rotations/shifts.
