About the role

Security Customer Engineer for Google Cloud focusing on cybersecurity, application security, SDLC practices, and vulnerability management in cloud-native or hybrid environments. Acts as a trusted advisor to customers, delivering product and solution briefings, and collaborating with product management and engineering teams to improve Google Cloud security offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
  • Work directly with customers to demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud product integrations in customer/partner environments.
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to complete solutions using best practices on Google Cloud.
  • Share security experience to support the technical relationship with customers, including product and solution briefings and proof-of-concept work, partnering with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer engagement with Google Cloud.
  • Support customer-facing presentations and conduct workshops to share the experience and be a subject matter expert on cyber security.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on application security, secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices, and vulnerability management, particularly within cloud-native or hybrid environments.
  • Experience with cloud and software development.
