About the role

Technical Solutions Consultant responsible for the technical relationship with Google Play’s largest advertising clients and/or product partners. Leads cross-functional teams to leverage emerging technologies, balancing business needs with technical constraints, and develops tools, APIs, and product guidance to aid external developers and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of Google Play’s products/solutions and underlying architectures by troubleshooting, reproducing, and determining root causes for developer-reported issues, building tools for faster diagnosis.
  • Develop advanced product knowledge with specialization in one or more components, including dependencies on other products and teams. Work with external developers, generate developer insights, create written guidance, write example code, author blog posts, design APIs and propose product changes.
  • Work with developers to drive adoption of high quality Play features and services.
  • Act as a consultant and subject matter expert for internal stakeholders in engineering, sales, and developer organizations to resolve technical integration obstacles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in developing and troubleshooting APIs.
  • Experience with Java/Kotlin and Google Cloud.
  • Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or Applied Science, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience working with engineers and product teams (preferred).
  • Experience working with developers/developer communities (preferred).
  • Experience with C# (Unity)/C++ (Unreal) (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of customer support and tooling (preferred).
