About the role

AI Threat Defense Engineer for Google Cloud Consulting within Google Cloud Professional Services. Provides technical guidance on secure cloud implementations, cloud security architectures, and customer outcomes, with opportunities to interact with senior customer leaders and Google Cloud product teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide deep domain expertise in cloud security and compliance and be a trusted technical advisor to customers and solve complex cloud security and compliance challenges.
  • Work with customers to design and develop cloud security architectures and solutions to meet and exceed their security requirements, through discussions, strategic presentations/recommendations, and implementation in Google Cloud environment.
  • Create and deliver best practices recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, sample code, and technical presentations adapting to different levels of key business and technical stakeholders.
  • Manage disparate senior stakeholders within customer environments to deliver consensus and drive positive customer outcomes on the Google Cloud platform.
  • Travel regularly (up to 30%), in-region for meetings, technical reviews, and onsite delivery activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience architecting, developing, or maintaining secure cloud solutions.
  • Experience designing cloud enterprise solutions and supporting customer projects to completion.
  • Experience coding in one or more general purpose languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C or C++) including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
