About the role

Google Devices & Services team combines AI, software, and hardware to create advanced imaging technologies for consumer electronics. This role focuses on system architecture, camera module design, and hardware validation for imaging technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Derive a reasonable system architecture for system resources, power efficiency, and provide hardware hooks to support camera features
  • Determine component-level requirements and develop schematics for camera modules containing image sensors, microcontrollers, AF/OIS drivers, and high-speed interfaces (MIPI, I3C/I2C, SPI), and design hardware to enable testing and future technology innovation
  • Perform schematic capture, PCB/Flex layout supervision, and simulations to meet high-speed signal integrity and low-noise power supply requirements
  • Conduct system-level bring-up, validation, and debugging, document and present validation data
  • Support hardware prototyping and validation for new imaging technologies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of programming experience in Python or Matlab and experience using AI agents to create/debug prototype code
  • 2 years of experience in hardware development in high-volume consumer electronics
