About the role

Mid-level software engineer role focused on low-level software infrastructure, tools, and platforms for Google Pixel hardware bring-up, with collaboration across SoC Architecture, Hardware Design, Firmware, Kernel, Android System, and Validation teams.

Responsibilities

  • Write and test product or system development code.
  • Act as the primary software lead for Pixel Software for new silicon programs, driving end-to-end software readiness, execution, and risk mitigation across pre- and post-silicon milestones.
  • Drive software readiness to achieve production-stack Boot-to-Home on early silicon.
  • Partner with Emulation/Simulation teams to define software requirements and deliver stable platforms for early development.
  • Lead wafer and Silicon on Desk bring-up in the lab, delivering CDT (Configuration Data Table), partition tables, hardware documentation, and Flashstation/flashing tooling support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  • 3 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
