About the role

Network Implementation Engineer responsible for deployment, maintenance, and operations of private data networks worldwide, collaborating with cross-functional teams to build reliable, scalable, and cost-effective networks for Google’s users.

Responsibilities

  • Build and operate Google's network reliably and at scale.
  • Execute deployment, maintenance, and operations of private data networks worldwide.
  • Develop creative approaches and collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep operational costs low.
  • Monitor the network and repair issues while anticipating needs and escalating issues.
  • Own network documentation, update and maintain network designs and plans.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering or Telecom Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in network operations, supporting and troubleshooting enterprise or service provider networks.
  • Experience in Routing protocols, Network troubleshooting and Multiprotocol Label Switching.
  • Experience utilizing standard tools and processes to support multi-vendor networks, including network switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless controllers.
