About the role
Recruitment professional responsible for end-to-end searches across technical and non-technical roles, advising and partnering with business leaders to build pipelines, influence role design, and close hires at fal.
Responsibilities
- Own searches end to end: intake, strategy, sourcing, screening, interview process, offer and close, across engineering, research, GTM, finance, legal and operations
- Advise the business: push back on role design, set realistic expectations with market data, and inform hiring decisions with candidate reads
- Find non-obvious candidates beyond obvious LinkedIn searches, including adjacent backgrounds and under-the-radar builders
- Source relentlessly: build pipelines through direct outreach, referrals, communities, events and AI sourcing tools; write outreach that people answer
- Close: share fal's story, understand candidate needs, run comp conversations and get offers signed
- Raise the bar: calibrate interview loops and screens for high agency and independent thinking
- Build as you go: improve processes, templates and reporting in Ashby, and use AI tools to automate repetitive recruiting tasks
Qualifications
- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting, with meaningful in-house experience at a high-growth startup
- Experience across technical roles (engineering, infrastructure, ML) and non-technical roles (GTM, finance, legal, ops)
- Strong sourcer with hires found who weren’t applying
- Trusted advisor to senior leaders, able to disagree with data-backed rationale
- Strong closer, comfortable owning offer and compensation conversations
- High agency; able to run a search without supervision
- Genuine interest in AI and generative media; desire to help build the company
- Experience at an AI, infrastructure or developer-tools company
- Experience hiring at early or first-of-kind roles with undefined profiles
- Comfort with Ashby and AI sourcing/automation tools
