About the role

Senior customer-facing technical role focused on defining, validating, and guiding architectures for AI, analytics, cloud-native applications, and large-scale data platforms. Acts as a trusted technical advisor translating business and application requirements into robust designs and measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • - Technical Architecture and Discovery: Lead technical discovery with customers and partners to understand goals, data sources, requirements, constraints, and success criteria. Design end-to-end architectures.
  • - Data Platform Architecture: Design solutions across ingestion/CDC, batch and streaming pipelines, lakehouse storage, catalogs, query/analytics engines, orchestration, data quality, governance, and AI integration.
  • - AI and Analytics Workload Design: Define architectures for AI/ML training and inference, analytics, lakehouse environments, and high-performance data pipelines.
  • - Object Storage and S3 Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in AIStor, object storage, S3-compatible architectures, replication, security, performance, and namespace design.
  • - Customer Technical Advisor: Build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups and guide architecture decisions.
  • - PoC Ownership and Delivery: Plan, scope, deploy, validate, and drive PoCs to production plans with defined success criteria.
  • - Customer Success Beyond the Win: Collaborate to move PoCs to production and expand adoption across workloads and teams.
  • - Cloud-Native and Kubernetes Guidance: Provide leadership on Kubernetes, containers, automation, and deployment patterns across cloud environments.
  • - Solution Integration: Work with customers and partners to integrate data sources, ingestion/streaming, processing/analytics, AI platforms, identity, observability, and infrastructure components.
  • - Technical Presentations and Enablement: Deliver architecture presentations, whiteboards, demos, workshops, and enablement sessions.
  • - RFP/RFI Support: Lead or contribute to technical responses covering architecture, integrations, security, scalability, performance, and operations.
  • - Product Intelligence & Market Expertise: Capture feedback, stay current on technologies, and explain differentiators in customer contexts.

Qualifications

  • - 10+ years in senior, customer-facing technical roles (e.g., Field Architect, Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Systems Engineer, Technical Consultant).
  • - Hands-on experience designing, integrating, and troubleshooting end-to-end data platforms (ingestion, CDC, batch/streaming, lakehouse, catalogs, engines, orchestration, data quality, governance, AI/analytics).
  • - Proven PoC leadership: defining success criteria, deploying/integrating components, validating functionality/performance, resolving issues, presenting results.
  • - Strong understanding of object storage and S3-compatible architectures (security, replication, data protection, performance, scale-out).
  • - Hands-on with Linux, networking, storage, containers, Kubernetes, and modern data-center infra.
  • - Experience with data stack technologies (Kafka, Debezium, NiFi, Spark, Flink, Trino/Starburst, Iceberg, Delta Lake, data catalogs).
  • - Experience designing/supporting AI, ML, analytics, lakehouse, or large-scale data pipelines.
  • - Experience with public/hybrid clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, or private clouds).
  • - Ability to lead discovery, design architectures, build demos, analyze performance, troubleshoot integrations, and communicate tradeoffs clearly.
  • - Strong communication skills for technical and executive audiences.
  • - Ability to collaborate across customers, partners, Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Engineering.
  • - Customer-success orientation, curiosity, ownership, and ability to prioritize in fast-moving environments.
  • - Willingness to travel as needed.
  • - Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/IS or related field; equivalent practical experience.
