About the role

In-house senior legal counsel focusing on data privacy, AI, and compliance to support Kit’s product, data ecosystem, and commercial activities, with a emphasis on scalable privacy guidance, GDPR/CCPA readiness, and privacy-related product strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Get up to speed on business model, products, and key stakeholders; review common legal agreements, privacy questions, and customer security requests to identify risk and opportunities.
  • Map recurring privacy support questions across Kit (notably Subscriber Signals) and design scalable intake, guidance, and escalation systems.
  • Own GDPR and data compliance vetting and establish processes for customer security questionnaires.
  • Build scalable systems (playbooks, templates, intake processes, self-service guidance) for answering recurring privacy, data-use, and compliance questions.
  • Partner with product lifecycle on initiatives and feature releases (notably Subscriber Signals) and support security, GTM, and engineering teams.
  • Reduce reliance on outside counsel by enabling in-house capabilities and establish durable privacy/compliance processes across the organization.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school
  • Active member in good standing of a State Bar Association
  • Experience as in-house counsel at a tech company or with a tech portfolio at a reputable firm (startups focus)
