About the role

Medplum is building the developer platform for healthcare. We’re looking for our first Account Executive to own the complete sales cycle, work directly with the founders, shape the go-to-market strategy, and build a lasting customer and technical relationship with healthcare-focused customers.

Responsibilities

  • Own discovery, qualification, proposal, negotiation, and close.
  • Partner with founders on strategic opportunities while becoming the primary commercial owner.
  • Build relationships with engineering leaders, product teams, founders, CIOs, and healthcare executives.
  • Translate complex technical capabilities into clear business value.
  • Answer customers security and compliance questions and fill out RFIs and questionnaires.
  • Develop pipeline through inbound opportunities and outbound prospecting.
  • Improve messaging, sales process, pricing conversations, and customer feedback loops.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and opportunity management in Salesforce.
  • Represent the voice of the customer across Product, Engineering, and Customer Success.

Qualifications

  • Has experience selling technical software, infrastructure, or developer products.
  • Enjoys learning complex technology and explaining it clearly.
  • Can build trust with both engineers and executives.
  • Takes ownership and is proactive.
  • Writes and communicates exceptionally well.
  • Organized, disciplined, and thoughtful about pipeline management.
  • Wants to build, not just operate.
  • Healthcare experience is helpful but not required.
