About the role

Position to directly influence warehouse logistics efficiency in a global technology company with in-house production, transforming real warehouse processes into a modern WMS to speed up work, reduce errors, and simplify operations.

Responsibilities

  • Field audit and study of warehouse realities (Gemba Walks): continuous observation of forklift operators, pickers and warehouse clerks; identify friction zones, bottlenecks, excess movement and non-intuitive actions; describe As-Is process architecture (receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, inventory) and document gaps between actual goods movement and WMS statuses.
  • Design To-Be process model and redesign WMS logic: design new warehouse algorithm logic (dynamic put-away, wave/batch picking, optimized routes for pickers, consolidation before shipping); create clear BRD/FRD, User Stories and Acceptance Criteria for the development team.
  • Redesign of TSD (Zebra UX/UI): rethink on-screen scanner scenarios with Poka-Yoke principles; minimize clicks, large clear fields, prevent wrong scans, clear indicators; eliminate unnecessary confirmations and manual input by enabling system-directed warehousing.
  • Bridge between warehouse and development: translate warehouse team feedback into precise technical requirements and business logic for IT developers; prioritize backlog with Logistics Director from critical operations to core automation modules.
  • Testing, implementation and change management: organize test releases with frontline workers on-site before deployment; create simple visual instructions; measure success using Time to Onboard, Picks per Hour, and Error Rate.

Qualifications

  • 3–4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst or Process Lead in warehouse logistics automation projects (3PL, retail, large RDCs, manufacturing logistics).
  • Deep understanding of modern WMS architectures (put-away strategies, zone picking, routing, integration with conveyors/weight scales/ERP).
  • Practical experience designing or configuring interfaces for data collection terminals on Android/Zebra (TC/MC series).
  • Ergonomic UI/UX understanding for warehouse operators (gloves, auditory/visual cues, cognitive load reduction).
  • Proficiency with BPMN 2.0 for visualizing processes; ability to decompose complex processes into atomic operator tasks.
  • Ability to write clean User Stories, Use Cases and acceptance criteria (Gherkin/Given-When-Then is a plus).
  • Basic SQL knowledge for self-checking data in WMS tables without developer help.
  • Ukrainian (fluent) and English (B2+) for technical documentation and collaboration with international vendors.
  • Hands-on, field-oriented approach (50%+ time on the warehouse floor in early months); empathy for end users and a drive to simplify complex processes.
