About the role

Product Designer II focused on UI work across Playground and Console surfaces, collaborating with senior designers, contributing to the Cosmos design system, and delivering end-to-end feature-level design for developer-facing products.

Responsibilities

  • Design and refine UI across the Playground and Console experiences, working from a defined problem and a general solution direction
  • Support senior designers on feature work, taking assigned pieces end to end with minimal guidance once the approach is set
  • Pick up design work wherever capacity is needed, across product surfaces
  • Apply Cosmos consistently, and exercise judgment on edge cases not yet covered by the system
  • Document the why alongside the what, so decisions are legible to the team and to engineering
  • Give regular updates, present your rationale in critique, and provide valuable feedback to peers
  • Use AI and design tooling in day-to-day work, and share learnings with the team

Qualifications

  • Strong UI craft, with a portfolio showing clear visual and interaction judgment
  • Experience taking feature-level work end to end, from direction through production handoff
  • Fluency working inside a design system, with judgment to know when a pattern does not fit
  • Clear written communication, including the reasoning behind decisions
  • Comfort with technical or abstract product surfaces
  • AI tools already in daily practice, with a view on where they help
